what is pregnancy_yoga

Pregnancy Yoga:
A specific and specilised yoga class which offers women the chance to spend time focusing on themselves, their babies and their preparation for giving birth.
The yoga postures that are taught focus on strengthening the pelvis, spine and core. Tension in the digestion and breathing is released and there is body and posture awarness which aids optimal foetal positioning. All the stretches are safe and specific to pregnancy and aim to develop a feeling of comfortable flexability.
The breathing excersises help to relax and destress during pregnancy and also equip women to manage the pain of labour. Good and well practiced breathing is the key to a positive birth.
Natural antinatal advice is also offered and support from other mothers who `feel the same`.
Pregnancy yoga gives you an oppertunity to understand yourself and your body better, which builds confidence, trust and love, essential elements in becoming and being a mother.
You can start practicing pregnancy yoga from 12 weeks and can continue to (and during) your birth!
Mother and baby Yoga:

The yoga exercises will focus on a mothers specific needs, pelvic floor, core and spinal strength. there is also gentle stretches and massage time for the babies.
A lot of the postures include the babies and there is no pressure or concerns if the babies are unsettled and need extra attention.
This class is like a mothers support group with excercises and relaxation and the babies LOVE IT!
