Kinsale College of Further Education presents:

    Love’s Labour’s Lost

Written by William Shakespeare and Directed by Belinda Wild.

    - a comic celebration of  young love and its pitfalls-

The King of Navarre and his friends vow to study in seclusion for 3 years and deny themselves food, sleep and….. women! When the desirable Princess of France and her feisty female companions arrive at the gates, the young men’s resolve is severely tested, with hilarious results.

As the men struggle and the women delight in outwitting them, they are aided and abetted by an eccentric cast of characters featuring, a flamboyant Spanish knight, a pedantic schoolmistress, an unctuous parson and a vengeful clown. Full of clever verbal tricks and comic invention Shakespeare’s exuberant comedy proves that the course of true love never does run smooth.

Belinda Wild has extensive experience of directing accessible, dynamic and imaginative versions of Shakespeare’s plays and Love’s Labour’s Lost follows the riotous success of previous Shakespearean productions from Kinsale College including, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Merry Wives of Windsor.

The audience laughed with uncontrollable abandon………wonderful team spirit.

Wrap up warm and bring a friend to enjoy a theatrical treat in Kinsale College’s unique, outdoor venue.
